Album Description Jaguares releases `45', their first studio album in three years. Time they spent successfully touring throughout Mexico, United States, Central and South America. "45" was produced by Saul Hernandez (Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter) and Alfonso Andre (Drums), with the collaboration of Howard Willing. Jaguares' current line-up also includes, Cesar "Vampiro "Lopez (guitar) and Marco Renteria (Bass) . And as a special guest in the album, Diego Herrera (keyboards). Recorded in Los Angeles and Mexico in June, and mixed in Nashville by Dave Thoener, `45' presents 10 songs that will surprise all of those who think they know what to expect from Jaguares.

Viva 45 November 13, 2008 This is a good album, my choice are 8 out of the 10 songs.. Alfonso does an outstanding job on his kit. The sound of Diego is refreshing from past albums. And most of all what I love about this album is the meaning of "45"
Solid but unspectacular October 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is kind of a middle of the road effort from Jaguares. Certainly, there aren't all the exciting Adrian Belew guitar solos that livened up their last album. But singer Saul Hernandez sounds better; maybe some time off the road helped. This album is fine, but drummer Alfonso Andre did better work on the La Barranca album that was released earlier in the year. That's the one to seek out and hear.
45 / JAGUARES. October 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Muy buen disco, 100% recomendable October 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Best filler album EVER...and worth a listen or two October 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Every now and then groups and artist release albums that have songs that are good and flow well with their previous work (Stone Temple Pilot's 4 comes to mind). These are not necessarily great albums, but good solid songs grouped together in one release. This is one of those albums. Granted the conceptual and musical intricacies of previous works (EQUILIBRIO) are not found here, and to many that may be disappointing, but its still a good listen. Heck its alot better than the Cure's last album and those guys inspired these guys. Speaking of the Cure I wonder if Saul was listening to them whe he wrote the album, either that or he was feeling HOMESICK.
