Album Description Madlib is recognized as one of the most creative and diverse producers in today's hip hop and indie music scene. His own work, under a variety of names and collaborations, ranges from hip hop to funk, electronic jazz and broken beat. He has ben tapped for production work by hip hop luminaries Ghostface Killah and Talib Kweli in recent months.

Vol. 3-4 sucked it was horrible i kept playing it over and over but just couldn't vibe to it. i mean couldn't even bob my head to that S**t worst beat konducta vol.5 is the best get 1-2 don't even think twice about 3-4 then get 5!
Dope Camel Rides and Sitar Battles January 7, 2008 Any madlib fan will definetly not be disappointed in this one. A mixture of that raw, street level head noddin' type stuff lib drops, along with the extremely odd but undeniably catchy beats to. I'm not the deepest Lib fan, but have been able ta cop his work on the Madvillain project and the Quasimoto alum "The Unseen". This isn't quite like those two releases but brings sum of the same ideas with alot of differences also.
You get alot of sitars, high-end strings, and organ and piano strolls(which remind me of sum West Coast stuff from 96 like "Masala"), plus Madlib's signature heavy bass and crazy procussions and odd movie samples(this time the majority of them are spoken in Hindi I believe. It's a good pick up for Lib fans, fans of hip-hop in general, and anybody lookin for a touch of something different.
Overall- 97/100 Dopest- Shah Sound, No Sitar, Main Title, Dark Alley...,Accordion for Raj, Indian Deli, Indian Hump, Get It Right, Masala Falloffs- Dancing Girl's Theme
I LOVE THIS December 26, 2007 Just wanted to say that I LOVE THIS CD. Ordinarily, the presence of any vocals at all tend to ruin instrumental CDs for me...but in this case, the presence of some vocals here and there do not detract from the excellence of these mystical dub-like beats. The snippiets of "Baliwood" Indian movie music only spice things up in a good, exotic way. My favorite track is Track 2. Man, that's one powerfully mystical beat...but the whole CD is very good.
Madlib Does It Again!!! September 27, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I preordered the day before the release, 2 days later it was in the box waitin for me !! I was as amped to check this modern day collage of beats, and soundscapes as much as the first Beat Konducta LP!!! They both are a must for any Instru"mental" fan out there! If you havent yet got a copy I highly recommend it to any serious hip-hop fan!
