Description THE CREEPS is a genuine 3-D film shot on 35mm with Chris Condon Stereovision lenses. These lenses utilize a 3-D filming technique called "over and under." During filming, a normal 35mm film frame is exposed by two lenses (one for each eye view) instead of one. The top half of the film frame is exposed by one lense and the bottom half of the frame by the other lense. Hence, the name "over and under." Great care was taken during the transfer and multiplexing (combining the two eye views) to correct convergence in many shots and scenes. The quality of 3-D on this disc is excellent for field sequential home viewing. This disc contains stereo (3-D) menus and logos, as well. The Creeps has been availble in 2D, but is now available for the first time ever in 3-D on DVD. To our knowledge, this DVD represents the first legitimately released feature-length 3-D film in field sequential 3-D. A must have for 3-D collectors! Enjoy The Creeps in 3D For Your TV! *Viewing this disc requires 3D shutter glasses. *This disc is region coded 1-5. *This disc is an NTSC field sequential 3D DVD 3D For Your TV only distributes genuine, real, true 3-D content.

great 3D! April 16, 2008 ASIN B0007BBVO The Creeps in 3D for your TV - I've waited over a month for this 3D DVD and it was worth waiting for. This 3D movie is tops in 3D effects though the story is not as much. I wish the audio part of this DVD was in 5.1 surround and not in 2 channel sound. Overall, I rate this DVD four stars for a very good 3D realism.
good movie, bad purchase... March 31, 2008 wonderfully cheesy movie. i was looking for something special for movie night (since it can get a bit repetative around here) and this caught my eye. haven't seen it in years, thought it would be fun to see it again.
i placed my order (thru amazon seller tinnman) 3.27.08 & recv'd it earlier today, so shipping time was great. seller gets only 3 stars because i was misled by the seller's note. says comes with 3 pairs of 3D glasses, but they were the cheap (red & blue anaglyph) ones. disc requires the 3D shutter glasses for viewing. VERY DISAPPOINTING. seller's note really should have specified this.
my purchase came with 3 pairs of 3D glasses alright. they were the anaglyph style ones (you know, red & blue lenses), and worse... they were pulled off of someone's copy of Spy Kids 3. whoever purchases that disc will be unhappy since now i've got the glasses that were supposed to belong to their movie (and i have no use for them).
the movie itself is great (if you like terrible cheesy movies - and i do). don't know about this copy since the proper glasses aren't included.
oh well. next time i'll just buy it new from somewhere else. lesson learned, i guess.
Great 3D for a enjoyably stupid movie January 15, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
OK,there is not really much to say here except that if you like to show off your field sequential 3D set you should have this disc as the depth is great and there is almost no ghosting in the entire film. The Plot is pure ham and cheese. A whacked out scientist steals the original manuscripts for Dracula, Frankenstein,The Werewolf of Paris, and The Mummy and begins to suck out the life force of a young librarian in order to bring the essence of the archetypes contained in the books to life.( I told you it was stupid)Before the entire experiment can transpose the girl escapes midway through and we are left we pint sized versions of the classic monsters who are none too happy about their current height. If you can accept a movie on the level of a Police Academy or Earnest goes to Camp then you should not have a problem with this. Only major gripe is that there is not enough in your face gags but compared to steaming dung like Camp Blood this is a masterpiece.
A regular snoozefest..... July 27, 2005 13 out of 19 found this review helpful
This is a dumb boring movie. I actually think this movie would be better to watch in 2d than 3d. The 3d in this movie sucks badly, and in order to really appreciate the campiness of the bad acting, direction, characters, and storyline-- one must not be waiting in eager anticipation for 3d scenes that simply do not deliver.
If you are looking for good 3d--PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS. THESE "REVIEWERS" WHO REVIEW THIS MOVIE EITHER HAVE AN AFFILIATION WITH THE STUDIO THAT RELEASED IT OR SIMPLY HAVE NOT REALLY EXPERIENCED ANY GOOD 3D MOVIES AND ARE JUST REVIEWING OUT OF IGNORANCE.
The field sequential in this movie is horrible, due mostly to the fact that so much of the movie takes place indoors- inside small cramped looking rooms that do not offer up any depth of field!! I dont care if the entire movie is shot in field sequential......if there is no depth to the picture...then there is no REAL 3D!
If you are looking for BEYOND EXCELLENT 3d, then get yourself a copy of "Alien Adventure", "Encounter in the Third Dimension", or "The Haunted Castle". I have reviews of all these movies movies in my profile.....
I love horror, I love 3D, and I love cult and B movies but this movie just could NOT hold my interest for long. I have stopped and started it 3 times since I have received it, and have yet to finish the end of the movie.
Again.....maybe in 2d--but stay away from the lousy 3D version. It downright sucks!
This DVD is what I waited for ! February 9, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I recently bought this DVD and man, am I glad having done so. Although I'm a european resident, the NTSC disc plays fine here in PAL-country and I had a lot of fun watching this smart little self-ironic horror movie in 3D. the disc offers an intro and a dvd-menu, both in 3D and also a testing chart, to be used to properly adjust the 3d-glasses or any other means of viewing. The image is razor sharp and because the set was always well lit, the 3D effect is always at it's best. the movie is presented in a letterbox format, that's a good thing. a slightly bad one is, that the widescreen image has been blown up and part of the image at left and right sides is missing, due to vignetting caused by the stereovison system used during shooting, as I was informed. that is a little pitty, but no reason to avoid this real cool and professional 3D DVD. "The Creeps"' story is playing with stereotypes of b-grade horror movies and reaches one of it's many peaks when four famous monsters of classic horror movies come to live, but in small size. one must see the tiny dracula with a mexican accent who's asking "What's that - movie?". For those like me, who like to sit through the end credits there's a jolly, musical "secret scene" at the very ending of the movie. After having bought and seen a lot of crap on the 3D field-sequential 3D DVD market, I would buy blindly every single further DVD that comes from this company. The price/qual Just to make shure, I am not related in any kind to the publishers of "The Creeps", I am just very much enjoying their first product, hoping many 3D movies will follow. When will the major studios get to know the huge market of 3D enthusiasts out there eagerly awaiting 3D releases like this one? Imagine "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" in an 3D DVD edition like "The Creeps"- Sharp, splendid looking? Wouldn't that be just great?
