This probably is the clearest map you can get for Cairo, and it is useful in that major roads are listed in an index so you can find them in the book. The main drawback is that a majority of the smaller streets in older parts of Cairo are not labeled, so this book is not very helpful for navigating Islamic Cairo, for example.
