I'll admit... when my cousin handed me this book and told me to read it becuase it was amazing, I wasn't too sure about her choice. So it sat on the shelf for about 4 months. But then I looked at it again and actually started to read it. This was one of my favorite (in-the-making) series.
In this book, the reader is able to see EXACTLY how Bella thinks. Unlike many books where the reader has to infer many details about the character, Stephenie Meyer is constantly adding details to form her characters. This isn't a book about a self-absorbed teenage girl with a crush on a vampire... it's more (but I'm not about to give away any details!!).
Let's just say that as soon as I read the book, I was on Amazon looking for a sequel. Imagine my disappointment when I learned that it wasn't due out for another month!!

This book is really cool, if you love vampire romance books for YA, you should really try this one, it really is different from others. You can be reading this book over and over again, and never get tired of it. I really recommend this book, for any age, I loved it.

I may be in my mid 20's, but Twilight has become one of my new favorite books. To date, I have read it 3 times and it's only been 5 months since I got it.
I don't want to spoil the story, so I'll just say what makes it so fabbity fab in my opinion: The author was able to make characters and situations that are supernatural (vampires) as well as a bit contrived (Bella's maturity) yet I was still able to suspend disbelief. I never once said to myself that the events of the story couldn't take place in any reality...even the author's.
I am not much for romance in books as it tends to make me uncomfortable with it's insincerity but I found myself giggling with delight and had stars in my eyes after finishing Twilight.
Oh...even my husband liked it and he doesn't like anything but the Dune books!

I am an avid reader and love books with a good story line and strong characters. I have searched for a few months for a book to keep my attention. FINALLY, by chance I picked up this book in the store and read it straight through (called into work sick in fact!) until it was done, then went immediately to the store and got "New Moon" (2nd in series). This book is on my top 3 list as one I can read again, and again, and again, and . . . Stephanie Meyer creates a wonderful world you long to be a part of.

To me this is the BEST BOOK EVER! Along with New Moon, which if you read Twilight you must read it, how could you not! This book is so amazing, people get obsessed with it, including me, my friends, and many other people. It is so good. It is what i've always wanted in a book. I used to never read books. I was a slow reader and I was like "books are boring" but then I had the urge to read and this book OMG. I got so into it, I would loose track of time. For the first time ever I now think it is more fun to read a book than watch a movie. This review probably sounds crazy and has many spelling errors but I just get so excited about this book. READ IT! oh and don't forget the equally amazing sequal!
